How to Use the Haakaa Silicone Breast Pump

1. Before use, sterilize and clean your silicone breast pump thoroughly. (A separate lid can be purchased to help keep the pump sterile after cleaning.)

2. Place the top opening of the silicone pump over your nipple, ensuring the nipple is centered inside the neck of the pump.

3. Squeeze the sides of the pump together at the middle section, then position the pump correctly onto the breast. Release gently to create natural suction. If attached correctly, the pump should stay securely in place without needing to hold it.

(Tip: Applying a warm cloth or cotton pad to the top of the breast and gently massaging the area may help stimulate milk flow.)

4. Once milk begins to flow, allow the pump to work on its own. To remove the pump, simply squeeze the body again to release the suction seal.

5. When the pump is full, transfer the milk into a milk storage bag or bottle and continue pumping if needed.

If the pump becomes full or you wish to stop pumping, simply place the suction base securely onto a flat surface.

Cleaning Instructions

• After each use, the product can be sterilized using any steam sterilizer or by boiling in water.

⚠️⚠️ Haakaa does NOT recommend UV sterilization. ⚠️⚠️

We recommend steam sterilizing or boiling in hot water for approximately 3 minutes instead. UV sterilization may cause the silicone pump to turn yellow over time. Although Haakaa silicone is heat resistant, it is not suitable for prolonged UV exposure, which may also reduce the suction performance of the pump.
